Questions & answers about wasp nests
Paula asked:
Hi Paul We realised we had a wasp nest in the eaves of our roof and we spotted where they were getting in and out so we blocked the hole up. As we didnt poison the nest we wonder whether we have done the right thing? what will happen to the ones that are still alive in the nest and now sealed up in our roof? Thanks
Paul Sweet replied:
Hi Paula, the wasps still inside the nest will find another way out, and the wasps outside will find a way inside. Where this happens is anyone's guess. Regards. Paul

Paul Sweet replied:
Hi Babara, there really isn't much more that I can suggest, apart from go on to my other website which is www.wasp-control.co.uk Enter your postcode and find out who your local independent pest controller is, get them to call round and see (if someone with a little more experience than guys you have already had out) if they can source the nest and destroy it.

Hi paul i asked you a question about 3 weeks ago as i kept having wasp in my living room well have not been in there for that the pest control men have been but cannot locate a nest but still getting wasps they just appear please help.
Paul Sweet replied:
Hi Barbara, if there are wasps still coming into your living room, there is a wasp nest there somewhere. Do you have a chimney? If so, the nest could be up that. Are there any air vents that lead into the room? The nest could be in the cavity of the wall somewhere. Is the floor a wooden one? The nest could be underneath the floor. BUT! If there is a nest there, as i said previously, you will see wasps coming to and leaving the nest from OUTSIDE!!!! Wasps will not find the food that they need to survive on, in your living room. They are not intentionaly coming in. They are accidently finding thier way into that room, so the nest MUST be close by. You need to watch from outside, every angle of the building to see where they are leaving from and arriving at. Once you find this, the nest can be easily dealt with.
