A new blog
Welcome to Our New Blog!
We are excited to introduce our new blog section, where we’ll provide regular updates on what we’re up to and share insights into the world of wasps. Our goal is to keep you informed and engaged with the latest developments in pest control and nature.
This winter has been slightly colder than average, accompanied by some harsh periods. As I write this, the forecast predicts a further cold snap, which can actually be beneficial for hibernating insects. These cooler temperatures help ensure that they remain in hibernation for the appropriate amount of time until the weather warms up and food sources become available.
While it appears that this could lead to a better-than-average year for wasps, predicting nature is always a gamble. There are so many variables at play that it’s difficult to say for certain what will happen until it unfolds. Each season brings its own surprises, and we remain cautious about making predictions.
For now, we are still a few weeks away from wasps emerging from hibernation in earnest. In the meantime, all of us at Hampshire Wasp Control are keeping busy with other tasks. This week, I’ve been focused on mole catching in Tadley and Basingstoke, tackling the challenges posed by these burrowing pests.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue our work and observe how the coming months will shape the environment around us. Thank you for following along!
